After only 1 week here this is what the kids in week 1 and 2 have to say about it.
Samantha -of Port Huron high school says... "Well it was fun. Bad things happen but then I come here and talk to all the nice friends I'm making and they make me feel better and then its all good. But other then that drama its been so great. Its a place to talk to new friends, feel better about myself thanks to them. A safe place to just set and think about what the day has given me and what it may give. Plus thanks to WIA I now know how fun photoshop is and now I have it on the computer on and play with it all the time."
Stephanie -of Marysville says... "My first week of WIA was super awsome. It was so fun! The people in my class are so awsome we all get along soooo well! We all have common interests. I have never "fit in" this much in my life. It feels great!"
Michele -of Port Huron high school says... Was not here to give her say...
Chelsea -of Port Huron high school says... "It was great...I like my supervisor, she's really nice. I've learned a lot about computer see as I only knew how to get on myspace before lol. Umm all the staff is really great...I like Mrs.Hillock and of course Mrs. Murphy...I found some really cool people in my "class"....Kimmy is Sweet and makes me laugh...and Michele of course that is when she's here lol...Then there is Sam who is a really funny person as well...And Stina is really good on the computer so she's great to ask for help when you need it...and Amanda who is a helper and a wild girl lol...I've learned a lot in the first week and found that this job is a lot different then my other job...Which is a good thing...Wia is Sweet "
Felicia -of Crossroads says... "I think its rather amusing to say the least. I enjoy muhself a whole lot. Honestly, being at home sick was saddening. I would have much rather been there today. >__<"
Amanda -of St. Clair says... "I rather like this class. I've never actually blogged for real before. It was just myspace & I never did a serious entry before. It's an interesting experience and I do believe I'm doing quite well at it actually. I'm excited to learn photoshop because I'm honestly not that good at it. I attempted at my house and got really lost. So maybe I'll learn how to do it. And about the year book, I don't know. It may be fun but it also could turn out to be a pain. We'll see I guess."
Christina -Of Port Huron Northern says... "I think this class or "job" thing has been awesome so far, I love using the computer to design things, it's what I do. It's really cool to see what we all can and have designed."
Erica -Of Marysville says... Was not here to give her say...
Kimberly -of Algonac says... "The first week of wia went by pretty fast. I liked it actually. I mean hey, its $250 a week, You cant beat that. My first week of wia i made some really close friends. I hope that when this ends i still can talk to them. One girl, Chelsea, has became one of my very good friends. She makes me laugh and shes pretty sweet. My supervisor is also really cool. Unlike school, where all the teachers are whiny and cranky. I actually look forward into coming to work. Wia is pretty easy going, you come in, you do your work, you leave. In the end, you earn a grand. What kid my age wouldn't want money? Exactly. So, try it and have some fun."
Kyle -of Algonac says... "The first week of WIA was alright, I guess. I was just really tired which made things pretty frustrating for me. It started to pick up at around Wednesday when we started to do things like photoshop and windows movie maker. For the price we get paid, we barely did much. I mean, $250 for a week of "work". Well, I'm not really going to complain because it goes straight to my pocket. :D"
